MyStay - Porto Bolhão Garden View studio

Negative: From what we saw on booking, everything seemed fine: a good price and a nice-enough and comfortable room, which is allw e would ask for a one night retreat. However, we were very disappointed as soon as we entered the appartment. The walls were falling apart, which shows that there hasn't been any effort in upkeeping with the room in a long time. The cabbinets in the bathroom were in a sore state, destroyed by humidity. I see people talking about getting soaps and the likes, but the only thing that was made available in the bathroom was leftover shampoo. No soap, no body wash, nothing. Although we only used the kitchnette to drink the complementary tea (which was...ok, but that's to be expected), we noticed that the fridge wasn't even properly cleaned. We also noticed a ticket from the Bolhão market that some other visitor must have left behind, from july of 2025, and that had expired in december 2025 (we stayed there on february 2026). The floors were not very clean either, and the the only bedside table lamp was broken and fell as soon as we touched it to put our stuff down. The room had no curtains, which was very weird. Our room was facing the garden, a communal space, and we couldn't prevent people from looking into our room unless we shuttered the windows. Although we didn't use the garden, we noticed that it was overgrown and unkept; not something you want to see, even in winter. The service was terrible as well. Besides from charging 12 euros for "late" check-out (12 pm) and 16 to check out at 2 pm, and from constantly arrassing my mail box with add-ons to buy, I tried to contact the staff from 2 different numbers to confirm that my late checkout had been registered, and I only got an answer when I messaged them through Booking, only for them to tell me they "didn't have access to that information", which is unprofessional at the least.

Razoável Positive: Gostei da localização Negative: Ficamos num quarto que era no rés chão e era bastante frio. A porta para o condomínio não tinha código nenhum. Qualquer pessoa entrava. O AC não aquecia quase nada. Mau isolamento de ruídos. A parede do quarto estava rachada e tinha um candeeiro provisório. O chão do WC estava sujo e a água quente tinha limite, depois de algum tempo acabava a água quente.
