MyStay - Estudio con vistas al jardín de Porto Bolhão

Great price for the location but needs some TLC Positive: Fabulous location, so accessible to see key locations during our visit and not far from airport. Mercado do Bolhão 5min walk away. Kitchenette if needed for cooking to keep costs down, especially kettle for a drink in a morning. Towels included and soap. Shutters to keep heat out and air con if needed. Plenty of seating and space in rooms. Negative: The rooms are in need of some TLC, stained walls and headboards, broken shelves, fittings, toilet flusher, switches which don't do anything. Floors needed a good clean, upon arrival our feet were dirty from walking on floors. One room hadn't had rubbish fully removed from previous guests, there was an old used towel hung up in bathroom, a pair of used underwear left in a drawer, and a torn towel in the pile of fresh ones. Very noisy when people use stairs and move in upper apartments. Stagnant water outside was quite strong smelling, deterring us from sitting out.

Positive: The location is great. Negative: When we arrived in the room at 5:30 it wasnt cleaned and there were no cleaners in the building. We had to call the owners and it rook an hour before someone came to clean, even the dirty bed sheets and towels were still laying on the bed. Also the lockers were full and we had to pat 15 euro’s to stock our luggage before checking in.
